Des adjectifs précis

Évitez good et bad : préférez gripping (captivant), moving (émouvant), thought-provoking (qui fait réfléchir), hilarious (hilarant), breathtaking (à couper le souffle) ou, au contraire, dull (ennuyeux), predictable (prévisible), disappointing (décevant).

Attention : to be worth + -ing : It's worth reading (ça vaut la peine d'être lu).

Mise en situation : deux avis sur un film

Lily : Have you seen the new thriller everyone is talking about? It's set in Alaska.
Tu as vu le nouveau thriller dont tout le monde parle ? Il se passe en Alaska.
Max : Yes! The plot is gripping and the special effects are breathtaking.
Oui ! L'intrigue est captivante et les effets spéciaux sont à couper le souffle.
Lily : I found the ending a bit predictable, but the soundtrack is so moving.
J'ai trouvé la fin un peu prévisible, mais la bande originale est tellement émouvante.
Max : Anyway, it's definitely worth seeing. No spoilers, though!
En tout cas, ça vaut vraiment le coup. Mais pas de révélations !
