Le matin

Pour parler d'une habitude, on utilise le présent simple, avec un s à la 3e personne : My sister gets up at 8. Les adverbes de fréquence se placent avant le verbe : I always have breakfast. I never go to bed late.

Attention : on dit go to school, go to bed, have breakfast, sans article.

Mise en situation : la journée d'un correspondant

Kate : What time do you get up in the morning?
À quelle heure tu te lèves le matin ?
Hugo : I get up at seven. I have a shower and I have breakfast. Then I go to school by bus.
Je me lève à sept heures. Je prends une douche et mon petit-déjeuner. Puis je vais à l'école en bus.
Kate : And when does school finish?
Et quand finissent les cours ?
Hugo : At five! Then I do my homework, I have dinner at eight and I go to bed at ten.
À cinq heures ! Ensuite, je fais mes devoirs, je dîne à huit heures et je me couche à dix heures.
Kate : Wow, your day is long! I finish at half past three.
Waouh, ta journée est longue ! Moi, je finis à quinze heures trente.
