One day, the North Wind and the Sun were arguing. "I'm stronger than you," said the Wind. "No, I'm stronger," said the Sun.

Traduction

Just then, they saw a traveller walking along the road, wrapped in a warm coat.

Traduction

"Let's have a competition," said the Sun. "The one who can take off his coat is the strongest." "Easy!" said the Wind. "I'll go first."

Traduction

The Wind blew and blew. He blew so hard that the trees bent. But the colder the traveller felt, the tighter he held his coat.

Traduction

At last, the Wind gave up. Then the Sun came out from behind a cloud and shone gently on the traveller. He felt warmer and warmer.

Traduction

Soon the traveller unbuttoned his coat. Then he took it off and sat down in the shade of a tree. Kindness can do more than force.

Traduction

Bientôt, le voyageur déboutonna son manteau. Puis il l'enleva et s'assit à l'ombre d'un arbre. La douceur peut plus que la force.
