A young princess loved playing with her golden ball. One day, it fell into a deep well. She started to cry.

Une jeune princesse adorait jouer avec sa balle d'or. Un jour, la balle tomba dans un puits profond. Elle se mit à pleurer.
"Why are you crying?" asked a frog. "I can get your ball. But you must promise to be my friend, to let me eat from your plate and sleep on your pillow."

« Pourquoi pleures-tu ? demanda une grenouille. Je peux aller chercher ta balle. Mais tu dois promettre d'être mon amie, de me laisser manger dans ton assiette et dormir sur ton oreiller. »
"I promise," said the princess. The frog brought back the ball, but the princess grabbed it and ran away to the castle. "Wait for me!" called the frog.

That evening, there was a knock at the door. It was the frog! The king said: "You made a promise, my daughter. You must keep it."

So the frog ate from her golden plate. Then he wanted to sleep on her pillow. The princess didn't want to, but she kept her word. She even gave him a little kiss.
