The two friends paddled ahead to explore a small rocky island covered with seagulls. They pulled their kayak onto the beach and climbed to the top to look at the nests.

Traduction

When they came back down, the kayak had gone! The tide had come in and carried it away. Then a thick fog rolled in from the sea. They couldn't see the group or the coast any more.

Traduction

"Don't panic," said Priya. "Remember what the instructor said: stay together, stay warm and make yourselves visible." They found a sheltered spot between two rocks.

Traduction

Sam took out his whistle and blew three short blasts, again and again: the international signal for help. Priya tied her bright orange life jacket to a long stick and waved it.

Traduction

Half an hour later, they heard an engine. A lifeboat came out of the fog! "Well done, you two," said the captain. "You did exactly the right thing." That evening, they were the heroes of the centre, but they promised never to leave the group again.

Traduction
