Mise en situation : la correction d'essai

Teacher : Your ideas are good, but your essay needs more linking words.
Tes idées sont bonnes, mais ton essai manque de connecteurs.
Paul : Like 'and' and 'but'?
Comme « and » et « but » ?
Teacher : More formal ones. Instead of 'and', use 'moreover' or 'furthermore'.
Des connecteurs plus soutenus. Au lieu de « and », utilise « moreover » ou « furthermore ».
Paul : And instead of 'but'?
Et au lieu de « but » ?
Teacher : 'Nevertheless' or 'however'. And for a consequence, 'therefore' or 'consequently'.
« Nevertheless » ou « however ». Et pour une conséquence, « therefore » ou « consequently ».
Paul : So, all things considered, I should rewrite it?
Donc, tout bien considéré, je devrais le réécrire ?
Teacher : Exactly! Hence the red pen!
Exactement ! D'où le stylo rouge !
