CoursCours d'anglais

« I'm sorry I'm late. » → He apologised for being late. / « Don't touch it! » → She warned me not to touch it.

Attention : deny et admit se construisent avec -ing (He denied to steal), et suggest ne prend jamais quelqu'un + to (suggest him to go).

Emma : So what did the suspect say in court?
Jack : He denied stealing the paintings, but he admitted being in the museum that night.
Emma : And the lawyer?
Et l'avocat ?
Jack : She claimed to have new evidence and urged the jury to be careful.
