En anglais, après when, on met le présent : When I'm older, I'll travel.

| Mot | Sens | Exemple |
|---|---|---|
| when | quand | When I get home, I'll call you. |
| as soon as | dès que | As soon as she arrives, we'll start. |
| before / after | avant que / après que | Tidy your room before you go out. |
| until / till | jusqu'à ce que | I'll wait until you come back. |
| once | une fois que | Once you finish, you can go. |
| if | si | If it rains, we'll stay at home. |
On ne dit jamais When I will be older.
Pour une action terminée : present perfect
I'll call you when I've finished my homework.
»), on utilise bien le futur : When will you leave?
Grandpa : What will you do when you're older, Sam?
Que feras-tu quand tu seras grand, Sam ?
Sam : When I finish school, I'll travel around the world!
Grandpa : And as soon as you come back?
Et dès que tu reviendras ?
Sam : I'll become a vet. But first, I'll study until I get my degree.
