Dans Dracula, le jeune Jonathan Harker visite le château du comte, en Transylvanie. Il découvre un grand hall, des escaliers sombres, une tour et une bibliothèque pleine de livres anglais... mais toutes les portes sont fermées à clé ! Pour demander où est quelqu'un : Where is...? Pour répondre : He's in the... Attention : library = bibliothèque (et bookshop = librairie).

Mise en situation : la visite du château
Dracula : Welcome to my castle! This is the hall.
Bienvenue dans mon château ! Voici le hall.
Harker : It's very big! Where are the stairs?
Il est très grand ! Où est l'escalier ?
Dracula : Here. Your bedroom is up the stairs, in the tower.
Ici. Ta chambre est en haut de l'escalier, dans la tour.
Harker : And is there a library?
Et y a-t-il une bibliothèque ?
Dracula : Yes, there are lots of books in the library. But don't open the other doors!
Oui, il y a beaucoup de livres dans la bibliothèque. Mais n'ouvre pas les autres portes !
Harker : Why not? ... Hmm, this castle is strange.
Pourquoi pas ? ... Hum, ce château est étrange.
