Compter ou pas ?
On peut compter apples, pencils, friends (un, deux, trois...) : on utilise many. On ne compte pas water, milk, money, sugar, bread : on utilise much.

Attention : la question sur le prix utilise is (un objet) ou are (plusieurs objets) : How much are the apples?
