Le Royaume-Uni est célèbre pour ses châteaux hantés. On dit que le fantôme d'Anne Boleyn, reine décapitée en 1536, erre dans la Tour de Londres. Pour raconter une histoire qui fait peur : prétérit en -ing (décor) + prétérit simple (événement).

Lucas : Did you hear that? The door is creaking!
Tu as entendu ? La porte grince !
Chloe : Stop it, this castle is creepy enough!
Arrête, ce château fait déjà assez peur !
Lucas : They say it's haunted. A ghost walks here at midnight.
On dit qu'il est hanté. Un fantôme se promène ici à minuit.
Chloe : It's ten to twelve... I'm shivering!
Il est minuit moins dix... Je frissonne !
Lucas : Look! Something white is moving!
Regarde ! Quelque chose de blanc bouge !
Chloe : Aaargh! Oh... it's just a curtain.
Aaah ! Oh... c'est juste un rideau.
