Sujet 1 : A day on the farm 🚜

Hi! My name is Megan and I'm fourteen. I live on a farm in Wales, in the west of Great Britain, with my parents and my little brother, Owen.

My day starts very early. I get up at six o'clock, even at the weekend, because I help my dad feed the sheep before school. We have about three hundred sheep and two old horses.

Then I take the bus to school. It's a long journey: forty minutes! I usually read or listen to music. My favourite subjects are science and art.

When I come home, I do my homework in the kitchen. My mum makes cheese and sells it at the market on Saturdays, so the kitchen always smells good!

Living on a farm isn't always easy. In winter, it's cold and muddy, and my friends live far away. But I love animals and nature, and I can't imagine living in a big city.

Next year, our school is organising an exchange with a school in Brittany. I'm really excited because I'd like to visit a French farm!

Hi Megan! My name is Lucas and I'm fourteen too. I live in a flat in Lyon with my mum and my sister.

I get up at seven, have breakfast and walk to school. In the evening, I play basketball with my friends.

I prefer living in a city because there are lots of things to do: cinemas, shops and sports clubs. But I'd love to visit your farm one day because I like horses!

Write back soon, Lucas

Sujet 2 : My first week in Brighton 🏖️

From: Inès To: Mrs Dubois Subject: My first week in Brighton

Dear Mrs Dubois, I hope you're well! As promised, here is some news from England. I arrived in Brighton last Sunday for my three-week exchange.

My host family is really nice. Mr and Mrs Carter have two children: Lily, who is my age, and Jack, who is eight. They have a dog called Biscuit who sleeps in front of my door!

School here is quite different. Lessons start at nine and finish at half past three, so I have more free time in the evening. We wear a uniform: a blue jumper and a tie. I didn't like it at first, but now I think it's practical.

The food is a surprise too. At lunchtime, most students bring a packed lunch with sandwiches, crisps and fruit. Yesterday, Mrs Carter cooked a roast dinner. It was delicious!

On Saturday, we're going to visit London by train. I can't wait to see Big Ben and the British Museum. I'm speaking English all day, and I'm starting to dream in English! See you soon, Inès

Hi Jack! I'm so happy you're coming to France next month.

My school is quite big: there are about six hundred students. Lessons start at eight and finish at five, so the days are long! We don't wear a uniform.

At lunchtime, we eat a hot meal in the canteen. My favourite subject is English, of course, but I don't like physics very much.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it. See you soon! Emma
