Teacher : Should private fireworks be banned?
Faut-il interdire les feux d'artifice privés ?
Clara : I think so. The noise terrifies pets and wildlife, and air pollution peaks every fifth of November.
Hugo : Admittedly, there are problems. Nevertheless, it's a centuries-old tradition, and most people use fireworks responsibly.
Teacher : Is there a middle ground?
Y a-t-il un juste milieu ?
Clara : A reasonable compromise would be to allow only public displays, at set times, so that owners can protect their animals.
Hugo : Or we could switch to drone shows. They're quiet, they don't pollute, and they're spectacular!
