Ensuite, chacun est à sa place : The king was in his counting house (le roi compte son argent), the queen was in the parlour (la reine est au salon) et the maid was in the garden (la servante étend le linge au jardin).

Mise en situation : qui est où ?

Teacher : Where was the king?
Où était le roi ?
Sam : The king was in his counting house, counting out his money!
Teacher : And the queen?
Et la reine ?
Zoe : The queen was in the parlour, eating bread and honey.
Teacher : What was in the pie?
Qu'y avait-il dans la tourte ?
Sam : Four and twenty blackbirds! And they began to sing!
Vingt-quatre merles ! Et ils se sont mis à chanter !
