Habitude passée : used to / didn't use to + verbe.

Mise en situation : le quiz

Max : True or false: pirates used to make prisoners walk the plank.
Ines : False! It's mostly a myth. It almost never happened.
Faux ! C'est surtout un mythe. Ça n'est presque jamais arrivé.
Max : Pirates used to bury their treasure.
Les pirates enterraient leur trésor.
Ines : Mostly false. They didn't use to keep their money. They spent it! But Captain Kidd did bury some.
Max : Last one: pirate crews used to vote for their captain.
Ines : True! Many crews had a code with rules, and they could vote. Surprising, isn't it?
Vrai !
