Sophie : Why are all these people waiting by the river?
Grandpa : They're waiting for the Severn bore. It comes with the high tide.
Ils attendent le mascaret de la Severn. Il arrive avec la marée haute.
Sophie : A wave in a river? That's impossible!
Une vague dans un fleuve ? C'est impossible !
Grandpa : Listen... Here it comes! The sea is pushing the water upstream.
Écoute... Le voilà ! La mer pousse l'eau vers l'amont.
Sophie : Wow! And there are surfers on it!
Waouh ! Et il y a des surfeurs dessus !
Grandpa : Some surfers ride it for miles!
Certains surfeurs le chevauchent pendant des kilomètres !
