the right to disconnectle droit à la déconnexion
out of hoursen dehors des heures de travail
always on / always availabletoujours connecté / toujours joignable
burnoutl'épuisement professionnel
I wish my boss didn't send emails at midnight.J'aimerais que mon patron n'envoie pas de mails à minuit.
If only I had switched off my phone!

Host : Do you check your work emails at night?
Consultez-vous vos mails professionnels le soir ?
Guest : I used to. I was always on. I wish I had realised earlier how exhausted I was.
Avant, oui. J'étais toujours connectée. J'aurais aimé me rendre compte plus tôt à quel point j'étais épuisée.
Host : What changed?
Qu'est-ce qui a changé ?
Guest : I had a burnout. If only I had switched off my phone at weekends! Now my company respects the right to disconnect.
Host : Some managers say they need flexibility, especially with colleagues in different time zones.
Guest : Flexibility is fine, as long as nobody is expected to answer at midnight. I wish every country had this law.
