La pieuvre (the octopus) est un animal étonnant ! Elle a huit bras (eight arms), trois cœurs (three hearts) et du sang bleu (blue blood). Elle n'a pas d'os, alors elle peut se glisser dans un tout petit trou. Pour se cacher, elle peut changer de couleur (change colour) en une seconde, et quand elle a peur, elle lance un nuage d'encre (ink). Elle est aussi très intelligente (clever) : dans les aquariums, certaines pieuvres savent ouvrir un bocal pour attraper un crabe !

Mise en situation : à l'aquarium

Amira : Where's the octopus? I can't see it.
Où est la pieuvre ? Je ne la vois pas.
Keeper : Look carefully. It has changed colour. It's on the rock!
Regarde bien. Elle a changé de couleur. Elle est sur le rocher !
Amira : Wow! How many arms has it got?
Waouh ! Combien de bras a-t-elle ?
Keeper : Eight arms, three hearts and blue blood!
Huit bras, trois cœurs et du sang bleu !
Amira : Look! It's opening a jar!
Regarde ! Elle ouvre un bocal !
Keeper : Yes, there's a crab inside. Octopuses are very clever.
Oui, il y a un crabe dedans. Les pieuvres sont très intelligentes.
