Teacher : Today, we're going to make a sundial!
Noah : What do we need?
De quoi a-t-on besoin ?
Teacher : A stick, some stones and the sun! Put the stick in the ground.
Un bâton, des cailloux et le soleil ! Plante le bâton dans le sol.
Noah : Look! There's a shadow!
Regarde ! Il y a une ombre !
Teacher : Put a stone at the end of the shadow every hour.
Noah : The shadow is moving! It's shorter at noon!
L'ombre bouge ! Elle est plus courte à midi !

À retenir

  • a sundial, a shadow, a stick, the sun, noon.
  • The shadow moves. It's shorter at noon. Put the stick in the ground.
