Depuis, Hollywood a fait des efforts : Black Panther (2018), Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)... Mais certains critiquent un « diversité de façade ».

Mise en situation : le ciné-club

Lucas : Did you see the new Disney film? The main character is Black.
Tu as vu le nouveau Disney ? L'héroïne est noire.
Ella : Yes, and some people complained online. I don't understand why.
Lucas : Representation matters. Children need to see heroes who look like them.
Ella : Exactly. For years, minorities only played stereotypical roles.
Exactement.
Lucas : But some say it's just marketing, not real change.
Ella : Then we need more diversity behind the camera too: directors, writers, producers.
