Not only do phones distract us, but they also cause bullying.
I'm in favour of the ban.

Pour argumenter : I'm in favour of / I'm against... ; Not only... but also...

Mise en situation : le débat

Teacher : Our school is going to ban phones during the whole school day. What do you think?
Hugo : I'm against it. What if my parents need to contact me in an emergency?
Teacher : They can call the school office. That's what it's for.
Ils peuvent appeler le secrétariat. C'est fait pour ça.
Clara : I'm in favour. Not only do phones distract us in class, but they also stop us from talking at break.
Hugo : That's true... Last year, everybody was on their phone at lunchtime.
Clara : Exactly! Without phones, we'll actually talk to each other.
Exactement ! Sans téléphones, on va vraiment se parler.
