Les erreurs à éviter

On ne dit jamais I have hungry ni I have eleven years. Pour demander l'âge : How old are you? (et non How old have you?).

Attention aux sensations

I'm hot = j'ai chaud. Mais It's hot = il fait chaud. De même : I'm cold (j'ai froid) / It's cold (il fait froid).

En revanche, « avoir mal » se dit avec have : I have a headache (j'ai mal à la tête).

Mise en situation : après l'entraînement

Max : I'm so hungry and thirsty after football!
J'ai tellement faim et soif après le foot !
Jade : Me too. And I'm cold now. Let's go home.
Moi aussi. Et j'ai froid maintenant. Rentrons.
Max : You're right. By the way, how old are you? You play really well!
Tu as raison. Au fait, tu as quel âge ? Tu joues vraiment bien !
Jade : I'm twelve. I'm lucky: my brother teaches me!
J'ai douze ans. J'ai de la chance : mon frère m'apprend !
