I'll help you!Je vais t'aider ! (proposition)
I'll call you tonight, I promise.Je t'appellerai ce soir, promis.
It's cold. I'll close the window.Il fait froid. Je vais fermer la fenêtre. (décision immédiate)
Shall I open the door?Tu veux que j'ouvre la porte ?
I won't tell anyone.Je ne le dirai à personne.

On utilise will ('ll) quand on décide sur le moment, qu'on propose ou qu'on promet. Shall I...? sert à proposer son aide. La négation est won't.

Mise en situation : un coup de main

Oh non, j'ai trop de sacs !
Leo : I'll help you! Shall I carry the heavy one?
Je vais t'aider ! Tu veux que je porte le lourd ?
Mum : Thanks! And can you keep a secret? It's Dad's birthday present.
Merci ! Et tu sais garder un secret ? C'est le cadeau d'anniversaire de papa.
Leo : Don't worry, I won't tell him. I promise!
Ne t'inquiète pas, je ne lui dirai pas. Promis !
