screen timele temps d'écran
How long do you play?Combien de temps joues-tu ?
I play for an hour.Je joue pendant une heure.
at the weekendle week-end
That's too much!C'est trop !
You should take a break.Tu devrais faire une pause.

Les médecins conseillent de limiter le temps d'écran, de faire des pauses et d'éviter les écrans avant de dormir. Pour demander la durée : How long...? ; on répond avec for + durée (for an hour, for two hours). Pour la fréquence : every day, at the weekend, always, often, sometimes, never.

Mise en situation : l'enquête de la classe

Ines : How often do you play video games?
À quelle fréquence joues-tu aux jeux vidéo ?
Hugo : I play every day after school.
Je joue tous les jours après l'école.
Ines : How long do you play?
Combien de temps joues-tu ?
Hugo : For about three hours. At the weekend, sometimes five hours!
Environ trois heures. Le week-end, parfois cinq heures !
Ines : That's too much! You should take breaks and go outside.
C'est trop ! Tu devrais faire des pauses et sortir.
Hugo : You're right. And I shouldn't play before bed, because I can't sleep after.
Tu as raison. Et je ne devrais pas jouer avant de dormir, parce que je n'arrive pas à dormir après.
