Archimedes and his bathArchimède et son bain

». Démarche scientifique en anglais : I predict that... (hypothèse) ; Let's test it! ; It floated / It sank ; Our prediction was right.

Mise en situation : l'expérience

Teacher : We have a bowl of water, an apple, a coin, a sponge and a key. Make your predictions!
Ben : I predict that the apple will sink because it's heavy.
Teacher : Let's test it... Look!
Testons... Regardez !
Ben : It floats! My prediction was wrong.
Elle flotte ! Ma prédiction était fausse.
Ava : And the coin sank immediately, even though it's very small!
Teacher : Exactly. It's not just about weight. The apple is light for its size, so it floats.
Exactement.
