Deck, mast, sail : à bord du bateau pirate (CE2)

Sur un bateau, chaque partie a son nom ! Le capitaine donne des ordres à l'impératif : Climb up the mast! (Grimpe au mât !), Drop the anchor! (Jette l'ancre !), Raise the sails! (Hissez les voiles !). Attention : the deck est le pont du bateau, et a bridge est un pont sur une rivière.

Mise en situation : le départ

Captain Smollett : All hands on deck!
Tout le monde sur le pont !
Jim : Aye, aye, Captain!
À vos ordres, capitaine !
Captain Smollett : Raise the sails! Jim, climb up the mast!
Hissez les voiles ! Jim, grimpe au mât !
Jim : I can see the sea... and a ship!
Je vois la mer... et un bateau !
Captain Smollett : Turn the wheel! Quick!
Tournez la barre ! Vite !
Jim : Phew! Now let's drop the anchor near the island.
Ouf ! Maintenant, jetons l'ancre près de l'île.
