It's hot during the day and cold at night.

Attention au pluriel : a cactus → cacti, an oasis → oases.

Mise en situation : le documentaire

Presenter : Welcome to the Sahara, the biggest hot desert in the world!
Max : Is it hot all the time?
Il fait chaud tout le temps ?
Presenter : No! It's very hot during the day, but it can be very cold at night.
Non !
Ella : How do camels survive without water?
Comment les chameaux survivent-ils sans eau ?
Presenter : Their humps store fat, not water. They can go for days without drinking.
