a battery 🔋une pile
a wireun fil électrique
a bulb 💡une ampoule
a switchun interrupteur
The bulb lights up!L'ampoule s'allume !

Teacher : Today we're making a circuit. You need a battery, two wires and a bulb.
Leo : I connected everything, but the bulb doesn't light up.
Teacher : Check your circuit. Is there a gap?
Vérifie ton circuit. Il y a un trou ?
Leo : Oh yes! This wire isn't connected... Now it lights up!
Ah oui ! Ce fil n'est pas branché... Maintenant elle s'allume !
Zoe : Can we add a switch?
On peut ajouter un interrupteur ?
Teacher : Good idea! Switch on... switch off. And remember: never touch plugs or sockets!
Bonne idée ! Allumé... éteint. Et rappelez-vous : ne touchez jamais aux prises !

À retenir
