Une capsule temporelle est une boîte dans laquelle on met des objets d'aujourd'hui (photos, dessins, lettres, journaux) pour que les gens les découvrent dans le futur. Pour faire des prédictions : will + verbe (I will be twenty-four. People will live on Mars.) ; à la forme négative : won't. Pour donner son avis : I think... / I don't think...

Mise en situation : la classe

Teacher : Today we're making a time capsule. We'll open it in 2040!
Aujourd'hui, nous faisons une capsule temporelle. Nous l'ouvrirons en 2040 !
Lucas : 2040? I'll be twenty-four! What will we put in it?
2040 ? J'aurai vingt-quatre ans ! Qu'est-ce qu'on va mettre dedans ?
Teacher : A class photo, your drawings, and a letter to your future self.
Une photo de classe, vos dessins, et une lettre à votre « moi » du futur.
Jade : In my letter, I wrote: I think I will be a vet. I won't live with my parents!
Dans ma lettre, j'ai écrit : je pense que je serai vétérinaire. Je ne vivrai pas chez mes parents !
Lucas : I think people will have flying cars and robots at home.
Je pense que les gens auront des voitures volantes et des robots à la maison.
Teacher : Great ideas! Now let's bury it in the school garden.
Super idées ! Maintenant, enterrons-la dans le jardin de l'école.
