Pour déduire : It must be... (ce doit être, quasi certain) / It can't be... (ça ne peut pas être) / It might be... (ce pourrait être).

Mise en situation : Baker Street

Watson : Holmes, this legend is terrifying. A giant hound on the moor! Could it be a ghost?
Holmes, cette légende est terrifiante. Un chien géant sur la lande ! Pourrait-ce être un fantôme ?
Holmes : It can't be a ghost, Watson. Ghosts don't leave footprints.
Watson : So it must be a real dog. But who would do such a thing?
Donc ce doit être un vrai chien. Mais qui ferait une chose pareille ?
Holmes : Someone who wants the Baskerville fortune, perhaps. It might be someone close to the family.
Watson : Then Sir Henry is in danger!
Alors Sir Henry est en danger !
Holmes : Precisely. You must go to Dartmoor with him and watch everything.
