Lena : Where are you going for the holidays?
Où pars-tu pendant les vacances ?
Josh : Nowhere! We're having a staycation this year.
Nulle part !
Lena : Isn't that boring? We're going abroad, to Spain.
Josh : Not at all. We're doing day trips: the coast, a castle, a national park.
Lena : That sounds nice, actually. And it's cheaper.
Ça a l'air bien, en fait. Et c'est moins cher.
Josh : Yes, and our carbon footprint is much smaller, whereas a flight pollutes a lot.

  • a staycation, to go abroad, a day trip, local tourism, a carbon footprint.
  • Although it's less exotic, a staycation is cheaper. A flight pollutes a lot, whereas a train trip doesn't.
