Sharks have existed for over 400 million years.
They are at the top of the food chain.
Shark attacks are very rare.Les attaques de requins sont très rares.
You're more likely to be hit by lightning.
Humans kill millions of sharks every year.
Many species are endangered.

Kenji : Most people think sharks are monsters. But that's a myth!
Teacher : Why do you say that?
Pourquoi dis-tu ça ?
Kenji : Shark attacks are very rare. You're more likely to be hit by lightning than bitten by a shark.
Jade : And sharks are important. They've existed for 400 million years and they keep the oceans healthy.
Teacher : So who is the real danger?
Alors, qui est le vrai danger ?
Jade : Humans! We kill about a hundred million sharks a year. Many species are now endangered.
