À Londres, beaucoup de choses sont rouges : les bus à deux étages, les cabines téléphoniques, les boîtes aux lettres. Les taxis s'appellent des black cabs. En anglais, la couleur se place avant le nom : a red bus.

Mise en situation : en promenade à Londres

Lily : Look, Dad! A red bus!
Regarde, papa ! Un bus rouge !
Dad : And a red phone box!
Et une cabine téléphonique rouge !
Lily : What colour is the taxi?
De quelle couleur est le taxi ?
Dad : It's black. It's a black cab.
Il est noir. C'est un black cab.
Lily : Look! A guard with a big black hat!
Regarde ! Un garde avec un grand chapeau noir !
