| I can't stop playing. | Je n'arrive pas à arrêter de jouer. |
| Just one more game! | Juste une dernière partie ! |
| I lose track of time. | Je perds la notion du temps. |
| I stayed up until 2 a.m. | Je suis resté éveillé jusqu'à 2 heures du matin. |
| You'd better take a break. | Tu ferais mieux de faire une pause. |
| Set a time limit and stick to it. | Fixe-toi une limite de temps et respecte-la. |
Les jeux vidéo sont amusants, mais certains sont conçus pour qu'on ait du mal à s'arrêter : récompenses, niveaux sans fin, notifications... On dit alors I'm hooked (je suis accro). Signes d'alerte : perdre la notion du temps (lose track of time), se coucher très tard (stay up late), sauter des repas (skip meals), négliger ses amis ou ses devoirs. Pour donner un conseil : You should... (tu devrais), You'd better... (tu ferais mieux de, plus fort), Why don't you...? (pourquoi ne pas...).
Mise en situation : dans la cour
