Dans cette vieille comptine, Jack et Jill montent la colline (went up the hill) pour chercher un seau d'eau (a pail of water). Mais Jack tombe (Jack fell down) et Jill dégringole derrière lui ! On mime la montée et la chute en disant up et down. Et quand on se fait mal, on dit : Ouch!

Mise en situation : la colline

Teacher : Jack and Jill went up the hill...
Jack et Jill sont montés en haut de la colline...
Kids : To fetch a pail of water!
Pour chercher un seau d'eau !
Teacher : Jack fell down...
Jack est tombé...
Kids : And Jill came tumbling after!
Et Jill a dégringolé derrière lui !
Teacher : Ouch! Are you OK, Jack?
Aïe ! Ça va, Jack ?
Kids : Yes! Up again!
Oui ! On remonte !
