Les expressions idiomatiques ne se traduisent pas mot à mot : head over heels veut dire « la tête par-dessus les talons », donc « fou amoureux » ! Pour l'amitié : to get on well with someone (bien s'entendre). Prétérit de fall : fell (They fell in love).

Mise en situation : les potins de la série

Clara : Did you watch the new episode? Jack and Amy fell in love!
Tu as regardé le nouvel épisode ? Jack et Amy sont tombés amoureux !
Leo : Yes! It was love at first sight. He's head over heels!
Oui ! C'était le coup de foudre. Il est fou amoureux !
Clara : But Amy's best friend doesn't get on well with Jack.
Mais la meilleure amie d'Amy ne s'entend pas bien avec Jack.
Leo : Oh no. Do you think they'll break up?
Oh non. Tu crois qu'ils vont rompre ?
Clara : No way! She's his other half!
Pas question ! C'est sa moitié !
