On décrit ce qui se passe avec le présent continu : A woman is holding an umbrella. Two children are playing.

In the foreground, a young man is wearing a red jacket. He looks happy.

Au premier plan, un jeune homme porte une veste rouge. Il a l'air heureux.

4. Faire des hypothèses

Léna : It's a photo of a market. In the foreground, a woman is buying vegetables. On the right, a man is selling flowers.

C'est une photo d'un marché. Au premier plan, une femme achète des légumes. À droite, un homme vend des fleurs.

Examiner : Where do you think it is?

Où pensez-vous que c'est ?

Léna : It might be in London, because there's a red bus in the background. The people look happy: it must be a sunny day.

C'est peut-être à Londres, parce qu'il y a un bus rouge à l'arrière-plan. Les gens ont l'air heureux : il doit faire beau.

À retenir

Présenter : It's a photo of... / In this picture, I can see...
Situer : in the foreground / background, on the left / right, in the middle.
Actions : présent continu (is holding, are playing).
Hypothèses : he might be..., it must be..., she looks...
